Senator Richard Durbin, Democrat from Illinois, is the sponsor for one of the most evil socialist bills even introduced in the senate: S.510 - FDA Food Safety Modernization Act, which is a bill to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act with respect to the safety of the food supply.
This bill allows for putting all sales, handling and production of food under the control of Homeland Security and Department of Defense. This means that, should our government decide there is an alleged emergency, they will take total control over our food supply. And, I mean total control. The Bill goes so far as to define the introduction of any food into commerce as smuggling. This would even include the direct sales of food between individuals. No more farmers markets or home sales of food.
For those of you who understand what has happened to the small American farmer, this Bill puts the final nail in the farmer's coffin. This Bill is designed to take all agriculture and food sales out of the hands of the citizenry, and put them under the total control of corporations, thus making it easer for the government to control our food supply.
Our government not only wants to control our food supply they also want to eliminate the possibility that we could grow our own food. The Bill, S.510, would remove the right to clean, store and own seed, thus putting control of all seeds in the hands of Monsanto and other corporations.
Most people in the United State will not believe the awesome power hidden in S.510 or that our government would ever abuse this power. Well, think again America; food crimes are part of our future police state. In fact, the bill actually postpones defining all the regulations to be imposed. We will not know the exact definitions of food crimes or the penalties to be applied until after the Bill has been passed. We do know, however, that S.510 removes fundamental constitutional protections from all citizens in the country, making them subject to a corporate tribunal with unlimited power and penalties, and without judicial review. It is similar to Canada's C-6, also known as the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA), and it will be the end of Rule of Law in the US.
Even worse, S.510 imposes Codex Alimentarius, which is an internationally recognized system of control relating to foods, food production and food safety. It allows the United Nations (UN), World Health Organization (WHO), UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the WTO to take control of every food on earth and remove access to natural food supplements. In other words, all food production, handling and sales could eventually fall under the control of a single worldwide organization.
People, we are like a bunch of frogs in a pot of cold water sitting on the government's stove. As the government slowly turns up the heat we never even notice it - we are being killed by the politicians, and we are thanking them for doing it.
