Remember, right after Katrina, when the mayor of New Orleans, Ray Nagin, ordered that all the citizens were to be disarmed. Immediately the New Orleans Police, the Mississippi National Guard, the Oklahoma National Guard, and U.S. Marshals sprang into action. These were American’s with a “Gestapo” mentality. They forced their way into peoples homes and, at gunpoint, confiscated their lawfully-owned firearms; thus violating the peoples constitutional rights. None of the organizations participating in the confiscation seriously questioned the mayor’s orders; it may be an old comparison but they reacted just like the German SS reacted to an order from their Nazi leaders.
You may postulate that New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin and Police Superintendent P. Eddie Compass were acting like total idiots, which probably is not true, but the fact remains they gave the orders and those sworn to protect the rights of Americans turned on the people and violated the people’s rights. Yes, following this atrocity there were attempts to rectify things and enact federal laws to keep it from ever happening again. The truth is, however, that nothing has been fixed. Given the situation where American leadership acts irrationaly and bark out stupid orders you can bet your sweet bippy that our American gestapo will leap at the opportunity to violate citizens rights in the name of keeping peace. It is their intrinsic nature, which has been inherited from their father the great lier.
What has all of this got to do with House Resolution number 45? Let me inform you: our illustrious, seemly socialist, president wants to make gun confiscation legal … i.e. now the American gestapo can violate our constitution rights with the blessings of the federal government.
H.R. 45: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009
Sponsor: Illinois Congressman Bobby Rush (D). Representative Rush was a founding member of the Illinois Black Panther Party in 1968.
Last Action: Feb 9, 2009: Referred to the Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security.
General Components of H.R. 45:
1. Increasing requirements for firearms purchases.
2. Creating a national firearms registry overseen by the Federal Government.
3. Stiffen penalties for bookkeeping errors related to the Federal Firearms Database
formed in section 2.
Provisions of H.R. 45 include:
1. Requires passing a written examination to purchase a firearm.
2. Releases medical records -- including confidential mental health records -- to the
Attorney General for Government review.
3. Requires a two-day waiting period on all firearms purchases.
4. Institutes a fee of $25 or more on all firearm purchases.
5. Creates a national database with all firearms and firearms owners registered by serial number with the Federal Government.
6. A Federal ban on all private firearms sales.
7. Increases in penalties for clerical errors related to this national firearms registry.
Will H.R. 45 pass Congress?
1. Not in its original form.
2. Probably not as H.R. 45.
3. Maybe as a House rewrite and then a Senate rewrite.
4. More probably elements of H.R. 45 will be attached to other Bills.
5. In the long run … it will most definitely be put into effect! This is assuming the American public remains in its current vegetable state.
The poorly thought out actions of Ray Nagin and P. Eddie Compass will probably never happen again: at least in the same way. Still, law enforcement’s perpencity to submit to their intrinsic Gestapo mentality is as strong as ever; just give them an order and watch them violate our personal freedoms. And, the fact remains that our right to own and bear arms is under serious attack; we even have a president who appears to be dedicated to destroying the 2nd Amendment. We need to face facts … unless Americans are willing to get up off the ground and vote idiots out of office then our days of gun ownership are limited.
WRITE TO YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS AND LET THEM KNOW HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT GUN CONTROL. For or against! The point I am trying to make is that, we the people, need to regain control of the government. If the majority of the people want to give up the 2nd Amendment; then that is what should happen. As long as the majority of the American people are in control of the government I will render unto Caesar what is Caesar’s. What is disturbing, however, is when good Christian people do not take the time to know what their elected officials really stand for and thus they allow officials who are controlled by an elite few or by special interest groups to run this country.
IF you are a Christian you should realize that the lesser of two evils is still not the right choice. Look beyond the options Satan gives you!
