Was 911 an Inside job ? - Did the US Government cause or allow 911 ?
Some of the most sensational historic occurrences never fail to make it into the conspiracy web as alternative causes and scenarios to what really happened. Many conspiracy theories point to no less than the US government as hiding the truth in the interest of so-called national security or some other agenda that it doesn’t want the public to know. One of them is the now epoch making disaster that was the September 11 attacks of 2001 known as 9/11.
On that date, four US planes were hijacked, two of them hit and ploughed through each of the twin towers of the World Trade center, a third crashed through a side of the Pentagon and the fourth crashed on the fields of Shanksville Pennsylvania.
More than 3,000 people died on that day including the passengers on their planes. The attack had been blamed on terrorists from fundamentalist Jihadists headed by Osama Bin-Laden and his cohorts that predicated the invasion and subsequent war in the Afghanistan and Iraq. The attack on the WTC weakened its steel frame and eventually collapsed like a deck of cards.
The Conspiracy Angles:
The conspiracy theory have many angles but they all point to the alleged improbabilities in the widely accepted scenarios with a slant to a US government foreknowledge and active planning to cause those attacks to justify invading Afghanistan and Iraq.
Firstly, the collapse of the twin towers could not have been possible unless it was a controlled demolition job. It is alleged that explosives had been planted in strategic places under the building and made to look like it was the terrorists that caused its collapse, giving the government perfect excuse to attack the two Islamic states.
The Pentagon is so closely secured that it has a standing order to shoot any plane approaching it so why didn’t they shoot Flight 77 that crashed into one of its side on that day? Because there was none. Instead, a missile had punched a hole through it which made the extent of the damage consistent and not from a commercial jet crashing through.
A year before, the Pentagon had a causality drill that simulated a hijacked plane crashing into the Pentagon fanning the conspiracy angle.
The passengers of the 4th plane, flight 93, had learned about the conspiracy and attempted to take over the plane when the US military shot it down over Pennsylvania. Its wreckage was not consistent with a plane that crashed but because its main fuselage debris was found 8 miles away from the crash, this would have been consistent with a heat-seeking missile attack.
To date, the conspiracy remains alive though the US government and many experts have debunked them as without basis in fact.
