Alleged sightings of UFOs in this day and age remain as sensation as ever, attracting the media, Ufologist, the public as well as government and professional people. Even with photos and videos taken by individual witnesses, with today’s image and video editing tools on the PC that anyone can use, skepticism on the authenticity of these photos and videos on alleged UFOs remain at their highest level.
But there are cases when photos and videos of the same UFO sighting are taken by multiple witnesses that present a very strong bewildering case for those who love nothing else but to debunk these sightings as hoaxes.
One such case is the Phoenix Lights case of 1997 where a number of stills and videos were taken to record the fantastic night time visual display of lights that can only be described as unexplainable from any earthly viewpoint.
On March 13, 1997, between 7 and 10 pm, a series of lights appeared over the skies of Arizona and Nevada in a triangular or V formation that were captured on amateur and broadcast film. It started over Henderson, Nevada when a man reported seeing sic lights on the leading edges of a V formation. The same lights were reported in Prescott Valley and were solid enough to block out the starry skies at that time.
People in Phoenix got the best view with amateur photographers and star gazers using their telescopes independently reported the phenomenal sights. Even the Arizona Governor Fife Symington II witnessed the landmark sightings.
The Phoenix sightings was no mass hysteria or delusion and your have images from camera and videos from camcorders from various witnesses pointing to the same thing. All these media evidences have been thoroughly subject to various lab tests to determine if they had been altered with the unbelievable assumption that all of these witnesses have conspired to alter them. Needless to say, the results came out negative for alternation.
So what were these lights?
Military flares dropped for an A10 Warthog on test flights? But flares do not move on their own, do they?
Separate planes flying in V formation at night? What are they doing flying in formation at night? No pilots have ever come out to confess they were doing any flights at that time over the reported areas.
Secret experimental flights of new military aircraft? Why would they fly and allow themselves to be photographed over the 6th largest city in the US?
Todate, the Phoenix phenomenon remains unexplained and will be archived as one of the greatest mysteries of the modern world. It is one of the most breathtaking optical phenomenon that adds another possibility to a growing database of UFO sightings.
